Tent/Tharpuchuli Peak Climbing is a thrilling experience of peak climbing in the Annapurna region. Tent/Tharpuchuli Peak Climbing is one of the toughest challenges which will stay with you forever. These peaks are especially suitable for those who don’t have a long time and limited physical ability but still interested in climbing and experiencing mountain expedition. Peak climbing is known as being a challenging climb sometimes involving tiptoeing on a knife-edge ridge. The landscapes can be equally charming with rice fields, waterfalls, and alpine glacial ranges.

The trip begins from Pokhara, also known as City of the Lake, a 6-hour drive from Kathmandu. This trek offers an easy walk on the first day of the trek. It is an area of spectacular scenery, trekking through charming village inhabitant by the Gurungs. The trek is a good one for people all age groups and is suitable as a family trek as well. We will pass through some of the most stunning scenery in the world. The trek offers one of the majestic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and many other mountains of this route. We will have an opportunity to enter the Annapurna Conservation Area, well known as the home of many rare animals, birds, and local flora.

For climbing the peak you do not have previous experiences however the climbing teams need to be prepared mentally as well as physically for the adventurous climbing. For the trekking, the perfect time also needed and the perfect season for trekking March to May and September to December.

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu

Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (823m) 6 hours

Day 03: Trek to Ghandruk (1940m) 5-6 hours

Day 04: Trek to Chhomrong (2170m) 6 hours

Day 05: Trek to Dobhan (2,600m) 5-6 hours

Day 06: Trek to Deurali (3,230m) 1 hour 30 mins

Day 07: Trek to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m) 3-4 hours

Day 08: Rest Day in Machhapuchre Base Camp

Day 09: Trek to Cave Camp (4,250m) 5-6 hours

Day 10: Trek to High Camp (5,200m) 4-5 hours

Day 11: Summit Tent Peak and Return to High Camp 9-10 hours

Day 12: Trek to Machapuchhre Base Camp 4-5 hours

Day 13: Trek to Bamboo (2310m) 6-7 hours

Day 15: Trek to Naya Pul, drive to Pokhara 6 hours

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Day in Kathmandu

When you land at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu there will be a representative from our company to meet you. You will directly drive to the hotel to check in. At night you will meet your guide, hear additional information about the trip, and have dinner.

Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (823m) 6 hours

The very next morning, if the hotel is able to prepare breakfast then will have our breakfast in the hotel and if not we will have our breakfast on the way. We will enjoy  a scenic drive along Prithvi highway where we will enjoy short stops for lunch and scenic beauty all the way around.  After a 6-hour drive from Kathmandu Valley, we will reach Pokhara, check in at the hotel, explore all around the valley, spend one night.

Day 03: Trek to Ghandruk (1940m) 5-6 hours

The trekking trail descends steeply through a rhododendron forest to Baise Kharka where we may encounter monkeys and a wide variety of birds. It is an easy trek by descending gently all the way down through oak, rhododendron, and other kinds of dense forest to Ghandhruk where we will spend one night.

Day 04: Trek to Chhomrong (2170m) 6 hours

We will walk through terraces to Landruk a beautiful Gurung village providing you with excellent views along the Landruk trail continuing to Jhinu. We will have a wonderful views of the mountains and suspension bridges before reaching Chhomrong where we will spend one night.

Day 05: Trek to Dobhan (2,600m) 5-6 hours

The trail passes through a lush forest of rhododendron, bamboo, and oak. The trail becomes a bit tougher through the rocky slope to Bamboo. We will have our lunch on the way and then after we will move towards Dobhan where we will spend one night.

Day 06: Trek to Deurali (3,230m) 1 hour 30 mins

The vegetation is sparser here, allowing magical views of the mountains and beautiful landscapes. We will have our lunch on the way then after taking some rest and move towards Deurali where we will spend one night in this beautiful land.

Day 07: Trek to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m) 3-4 hours

Early in the morning after having breakfast, we willmove towards Machhapuchre Base Camp. We will have wonderful views of the mountain, beautiful village, and many suspension bridges before reaching the Base Camp where we will spend one night.

Day 08: Rest Day in Machhapuchre Base Camp

This day is for the rest day. Early in the morning after wake up, we will have our breakfast and then after we will explore all around the Machhapuchre Base Camp. We will explore villages and have an opportunity to spend some time in the monastery which may help provide the mental stamina for further trekking.

Day 09: Trek to Cave Camp (4,250m) 5-6 hours

The trail from the glacier leads up to the base of Annapurna South. We will have an opportunity to see wonderful views of the mountain and beautiful landscapes. We will have our lunch on the way then after move towards Cave Camp where we will spend one night.

Day 10: Trek to High Camp (5,200m) 4-5 hours

We are most likely to use fix ropes and helmets while climbing today. We will have wonderful views of the mountains which include Machhapuchre, Annapurna south, and Annapurna I. We will have our lunch on the way then after move towards High Camp where we will spend one night.

Day 11: Summit Tent Peak and Return to High Camp 9-10 hours

In the early morning, we will start our trek towards Tent Peak. We begin on a steep trail all the way up the ridges of the passes. After crossing Tent Peak, we will have our lunch and then after  move back towards High Camp where we will spend one night.

Day 12: Trek to Machapuchhre Base Camp 4-5 hours

We will descend on the same trail from where we came up. The trail ahead is devoid of any villages until we reach Sinuwa. In Sinuwa, we will have our lunch and then head to Machhapuchhre Base Camp where we will spend one night.

Day 13: Trek to Bamboo (2310m) 6-7 hours

While doing this day trek, we will have an opportunity to see more wonderful views and villages. We will cross many suspension bridges before reaching Bamboo where we will spend one night.

Day 14: Trek to Jhinu Danda (1760m) 6-7 hours

We will have an opportunity to see majestic views of the snow-capped peak range. We will have our lunch on the way then, after taking some rest, move towards Jhuni Danda where we will spend one night.   

Day 15: Trek to Naya Pul, Drive to Pokhara 6 hours

Today is the last day of walking in this wonderful journeyl. We will have our lunch at Naya Puul and then drive to Pokhara city where we will spend one night.

Day 16: Drive to Kathmandu 6 hours

We will head back to Kathmandu Valley on the same route we came towards Pokhara. We will have our lunch on the way.  After reaching Kathmandu, we will check into the hotel, spend some time around the Thamel Bazaar, and spend one night in this wonderful valley.

Day 17: Final Departure

We will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport with the hope that you have had a wonderful time in our small country. We will also be hoping that this will not the last chance to serve you.
