Sikles Trek

Sikles Trek is a quiet trail with less trekker which offers stunning experiences and views and with very basic facilities along the trail. This route is newly opened trekking destinations in the Annapurna region where we get an opportunity to know about the culture and traditions of the Gurung people. This beautiful trek is a great preface to the beauty of the Annapurna region and their lifestyle of Gurung community. It offers you remarkable sceneries and views of the eye-catching snow-capped mountain views. At the time of trekking, we will pass through the lush forest of rhododendron, pine, and oak tree. In the route, we will have a wonderful opportunity to experience to experience Nepali village, local people and their way of living a traditional life in the Himalayan part of Nepal. It is quite easy and shorter trek then other high altitude treks in Nepal. The destinations remain untouched and unique as the trails are not as famous as others in the western region. The trek offers you the breathtaking mountain views and wonderful mountain scenery. While doing the trekking in this wonderful land, we will have a wonderful view of the mountain and beautiful landscapes and we will have an opportunity to know closely about the Gurung people who are mostly engaged in Britain soldier.

Sikles Trek is famous for its very well maintained rustic flair and there are few better examples of a traditional Gurung village which is one of the short treks close in the Annapurna region. Climbing through the bamboo forest and follow the ancient trail to the Modi Khola valley. The trek begins from the Pokhara city which is also known as the city of the Lake just because this city is fully covered by the lake. The trek is the perfect one for you which offers easy walk on the first day of the trek. The trek offers one of the majestic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and many other mountains of this route. We have to a chance to enter the Annapurna Conservation Area which is well known as the home of many rare animals, birds, flora, and fauna. It is an area of spectacular scenery, trekking through charming village inhabitant by the Gurung’s. The trek is perfect for people all age groups and which is suitable as a family trek as well.  For the trekking, the perfect time also needed and the perfect season for trekking is February to May and September to December.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu 

When you will land in the international airport of Kathmandu then there will one person from our company to take-off you. You will directly drive towards the hotel to check out. At night you will meet your guide and counsel about the trip. And have our dinner.

Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (820m,) 6hrs

The very next morning, if the hotel is able to prepare breakfast then will have our breakfast in the hotel and if not we will have our breakfast on the way. We will have a scenic Prithvi highway where we will enjoy shortstops for lunch and scenic beauty all the way around. 6 hours drive from Kathmandu valley, we will reach Pokhara and we will check out the hotel and explore all around the valley and back to the hotel and spend overnight.

Day 03: Drive to Bijayapur Khola and walking to Kalikasthan (1150m) 4hrs

Today is the first day of the walking trek of Sikles Trek; first of all, we will drive towards Bijayapur Khola. Upon reach in Bijayapur Khola, we will have our lunch and slowly move towards Kalikasthan where we will spend one night.

Day 04: Trekking to Lama Chaur (910m) 5hrs

This wonderful day we will descend towards Lama Chaur. We will enjoy the hospitality of the host family that belong the Gurungs. We will have our lunch on the way then after slowly move towards Lama Chaur where we will spend one night.

Day 05: Trekking to Sikles (1980m) 6hrs

You will follow the path which is gently uphill for some distance and then gradually goes steeply and you will cross Parju village. It takes almost 6 hours to reach Sikles from Lama Chaur and spend one night in Sikles.

Day 06: Explore Sikles village

The whole day we will explore all around the wonderful Sikles village. This village is one of the most beautiful villages and tourist village in the Annapurna region. We will have an opportunity to know about the culture, tradition, and lifestyle of the Gurung people and another also in Sikles village.

Day 07: Trekking to Ghale Gaon (1800m) 6hrs

We will leave Sikles village for Ghale Gaon. Ghale Gaon is also known as one of the largest villages of Gurung community. The enjoyable walk delight in the view of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal and you will bring Ghale Gaon and spend one night in this beautiful Gurung village.

Day 08: Trekking to Hyanja (1070m) 6hrs and drive Pokhara 

Today is the last day of walking in this wonderful journey where we will walk from Ghale Gaon to Hyanja. We will have our lunch on Hyanja and from the Hyanja; we will drive towards Pokhara city where we will spend one night.

Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu

We will back to Kathmandu valley from the same route where we move towards Pokhara valley. At the time of this drive, we will have our lunch on the way and slowly drive to Kathmandu valley. After reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, we will check out the hotel and spend some time around the Thamel Bazaar and spend one night in this wonderful valley.

Day 10: Final departure
