Ruby Valley Trek is one of the most popular and relatively new trekking routes of Nepal, located in the midwest-central Himalayan ranges. It is famous for its diverse culture and beautiful natural scenery falling between Manaslu Conservation and Langtang National Park. This is a great option to cherish in the beauty of the pristine nature while allowing trekkers to observe the unique culture of the inhabitants along the trekking routes. The trail offers breathtaking mountain views and a glimpse into the lifestyle of many interesting ethnic groups. Our track passes through a dense forest, but most of the trekking trail is unexplored. The mountains are said to have deposits of gems. On this trek, you can explore the beauty of nature, high mountain passes, amazing glaciers, hidden valleys, and ancient places. Trekking in this wilderness area is as much cultural experience as a physical and visual one.
Ruby Valley Trek is an interesting trek as it comprises of all kinds of landscapes and walking conditions. This trek offers authentic experiences in Tamang and Gurung villages, beautiful farm terraces, and wonderful views of the Ganesh Himal and many other mountains which can easily be seen from this route. The entire trek is off-the-beaten-track, with combined community home-stay and monastery overnights through local and traditional walking trails. Most of this area of Nepal is not well developed, but the natural beauty of this land makes your journey more enjoyable and the warm welcome by the Nepalese people makes it more memorable. While trekking on this route, we will have an opportunity to explore all around the old monastery of this area where most of the people are influenced by Buddhism. The vast, enthralling beauty of highland Nepal resembles that of the Tibetan plateau. The best season for trekking is from February to June and from September to December.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
When you land at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu there will be a representative from our company to meet you. You will directly drive to the hotel to check in. At night you will meet your guide, hear additional information about the trip, and have dinner.
Day 02: Drive to Syabrubesi (1460m) 7-8 hrs
Upon morning breakfast, we will have an opportunity to see wonderful views of the mountains and the lush forest of rhododendron. Before reaching Syabrubesi, we will have an opportunity to explore around the Chilime Hydropower which is under the hills. We will spend one night in this wonderful Sherpa land.
Day 03: Trek to Gatlang (2238m) 3-4 hrs
Along the trails there are many Buddhist Chortens and Mani Walls. We will have a wonderful views of the mountains, and we will also pass through a beautiful Tamang village.
Day 04: Trek to Somdang (3271 m) 4-5 hrs
We will pass through scenic foothills and by ridgeline vistas of Syabrubesi passing through Dhunche. We will have a wonderful view of the mountain landscape on this route and we will spend one night.
Day 05: Rest day in Somdang
This day is for the rest day. Early in the morning after wake up, we will have our breakfast and then after we will explore all around the Somdang. We will explore villages and have an opportunity to spend some time in the monastery which may help provide the mental stamina for further trekking.
Day 06: Trek to Tippling (3842m) 4-5 hrs
Along a ridge top to the east is a Gomba and cremation ground for both Buddhists and Christians lined with colorful flags. We will pass through the lush forest and beautiful valley, and get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountains.
Day 07: Trek to Shertung (1875m) 5-6 hrs
The trail we will follow is descends first and then it climbs up for some distance. On the route, we will have our lunch and then after taking some rest and trek to Shertung where we will spend one night.
Day 08: Trek back Chalish Gaon (1674m) 5 hrs
The day starts with a gentle climb. We will pass through a lush forest of rhododendron and oak, and have an opportunity to see animals such as Langur, red panda, and Himalayan black bears before reaching Chalish Gaon where we will spend one night.
Day 09: Trek to Jharlang (3000 m) 5 hrs
Today we make our way up to Jharlang. On the route, we will have an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain which includes Ganesh Himal and also see the beautiful natural scenery.
Day 10: Head to Darkha Gaun (850m) 6-7 hrs
The trek passes through a dense alpine forest and there will be opportunities to enjoy the beautiful Langtang massif and Ganesh Himal. After about 6 hours of walking, we will reach our destination check in at the hotel, explore all around the valley and spend one overnight.
Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu
We will head back to the Kathmandu Valley from the Darkha Gaun. We will have our lunch on the way. After reaching Kathmandu, we will check into the hotel, spend some time around the Thamel Bazaar, and spend one night in this wonderful valley.
Day 12: Final departure
We will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport with the hope that you have had a wonderful time in our small country. We will also be hoping that this will not the last chance to serve you.
