Mera Peak Climbing is an adventure peak with technical challenges and stunning views of the mountains in an isolated part of the Khumbu region. This peak climbing is a great introduction to the mountain climbing experience. You will be taught how to use ice axes and crampons during the trip and you will need to use them. This is an alluring trekking peak which lies in the Mahalangur section of Himalaya to the East of Everest Massif of Nepal. The picturesque settlements, massive mountains, along with the inspiring glaciers and ice falls will be inspiring for those who can endure the demands of the climb. During the trek, we will be warmly welcomed by the Sherpa people who are the local people on this route. We will have an opportunity to learn about their culture, traditions, and lifestyle.
Mera Peak Climbing is best for those who love technical climbing and have previous climbing experience. The trail that you will follow will take you through rhododendron landscapes, majestic mountain terrain, enchanting lakes, and the lush oak forest. Climbing teams need to be prepared mentally as well as physically for the adventurous climbing. Climbing this peak requires basic mountaineering skills on the last part of the expedition. We will enter the Sagarmatha National Park which is also known as the home of many rare birds and other animals. During the trek, we will have wonderful views of Mt Everest, Mt Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and many others. The best season for trekking is from April to May and from September to November.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
When you land at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu there will be a representative from our company to meet you. You will directly drive to the hotel to check in. At night you will meet your guide, hear additional information about the trip, and have dinner.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Paiya (2,730m) 5-6 hours
Having breakfast in the hotel, we will drive to the airport for a scenic flight to Lukla, which is also known as the Gateway of the Everest Region. From Lukla, we will start our trekking on foot. We will walk towards Paiya where we will spend one night.
Day 03: Trek to Panggom (2,846m) 5-6 hours
Today we will enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the mountain and beautiful landscapes. We walk through rhododendron and bamboo forests on a narrow mountain trail. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will move towards Panggom where we will spend one night.
Day 04: Trek to Ningsow (2,863m) 4-5 hours
We will be greeted with multiple colorful prayer flags as we reach the pass. We will make a steep descent through a juniper and rhododendron forest to reach Peeng Kharka Danda. We will have our lunch in Peeng Kharka Danda and slowly move towards Ningsow where we will spend one night.
Day 05: Trek to Chhatra Khola (2,800m) 7-8 hours
The trail gradually ascends offering scenic views of Kusum Kanguru. We will pass through a bamboo jungle and past a stone cave by the side of a river, and then continue walking to Chhatra Khola where we will spend one night in the beautiful village.
Day 06: Trek to Kothe (3,691m) 6-7 hours
Early in the morning after having breakfast, we will move towards Kothe. We will have wonderful views of the mountain, a beautiful village, and many suspension bridges before reaching Kothe where we will spend one night.
Day 07: Trek to Thaknak (4,358m) 3-4 hours
While doing this day trek, we will have an opportunity to see wonderful views of the mountain and beautiful villages. We will cross many suspension bridges before reaching Thaknak where we will spend one night in this wonderful land.
Day 08: Trek to Khare (5,045m) 2-3 hours
We will trek on an easy path to Khare from Thaknak. We will see more wonderful views of the mountains. After 2 to 3 hours walking, we will reach Khare, check in at the hotel, and explore all around the valley where we will spend one night.
Day 09: Rest Day in Khare
This day is for the rest day. Early in the morning after wake up, we will have our breakfast then after we will explore all around Khare. At this day, we will explore villages and get an opportunity to spend some time in the monastery which feels better and mental makeup for further trekking or journey.
Day 10: Trek to Mera High Camp (5,780m) 6-7 hours
We will gradually ascend to Mera High Camp and continue on the trail ahead. We will have our lunch on the way then move towards Mera High Camp where we will spend one night.
Day 11: Summit to Mera High Camp (6,461m) and back to Khare (5045m) 8-9 hrs
We will start our trekking early in the morning because today we will summit Mera High Camp. The steeply ascending trail includes crossing paths that require technical guide lines. After reaching the summit at the Mera High Camp, we will head back to Khare where we will spend one night.
Day 12: Trek to Kothe (3600m) 4-5 hours
Leaving Khare, the trail climbs a steep ridge that affords excellent views of the Kothe Valley. We will spend a peaceful night at Kothe.
Day 13: Trek to Thuli Kharka (4,300 m) 5-6 hours
We follow the same path as we did before. The trail offers a magnificent view of alpine vegetation in a huge rhododendron forest. Our trail passes by a Chortens after which we walk downhill on a steep trail. We will have our lunch on the way, and then we will move towards Thuli Kharka where we will spend one night.
Day 14: Trek to Lukla 6-7 hours
This is the last day of trekking in the Everest region where we will walk to Lukla. The trail passes through pine, oak, and rhododendron forests. We will also pass through many suspension bridges before reaching Lukla where we will spend one night.
Day 15: Fly to Kathmandu
In the morning, if the hotel is able to make breakfast we will have our breakfast and head to the local airport of Lukla to fly to the Kathmandu Valley. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will check into the hotel, spend some time around the Thamel Bazaar, and spend one last night in this wonderful valley.
Day 16: Final Departure
We will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport with the hope that you have had a wonderful time in our small country. We will also be hoping that this will not the last chance to serve you.
