Manaslu Rupina La Pass is one of the peaceful and the hidden gem of a trekking adventure of Nepal which takes you deep into the Manaslu region. It is one of the challenging trekking trails in the Manaslu region. The geological variation impacts on cultural aspects as you step up every day. The trekking routes cover many villages mainly inhabitant by Gurung which gives us a chance to be a part of amazing culture and traditions. To enter the trekking trail needs certain permission and formalities are to be required which is provided by the Government of Nepal. It is an incredibly satisfying one for those who want to experience the hospitality and warmth of the local living in this remote region. This trail also leads you through unfamiliar regions, where you are face-to-face with the people. The upper reaches of the trails resemble towering polished granite cliffs capped by hanging glacier and overflowing with waterfalls. The trek passes through pristine countryside and flora and fauna, as well as yak pastures.

Manaslu Rupina La Pass is on the journey to the wilderness Himalayan it one of the wildest trekking in Nepal. It is less touristy trekking destinations in the Himalayan part of Nepal. The entire Manaslu region is geographically spectacular and culturally fascinating due to superb Himalayan scenery, the lush valleys, beautiful landscapes, and very few human settlements and diverse flora and fauna. We can get glorious views of the villages and the pristine Himalayas as well. The trek itself passes through gorgeous rhododendron and bamboo forest with magnificent vistas of snow-capped mountains. The trek begins from Gorkha after 5 to 6 drive from the Kathmandu valley. The trek also offers a wide range of several villages along the way with ethnicities and diverse cultural attractions including sacred mountains and highest lake in the world. This is a spectacular retreat that matches the amazing beauty of nature with a taste of the unique local culture that makes your journey so wholesome. Trekkers need to obtain special trekking permit to trek to have trekked in this area. And without trekking permit, any trekkers can’t enter this area because this area is restricted by the Nepal government. It offers one of the majestic views of Mt Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Mt Himalchuli, and many other mountains of this route. For the trekking, the perfect time also needed and the perfect season for trekking March to May and September to December.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

When you will land in the international airport in Kathmandu then there will one person from our company to take-off you. You will directly drive towards the hotel to check out. At night you will meet your guide and counsel about the trip. And have our dinner.

Day 02: Drive to Gorkha

The very next morning, if the hotel is able to prepare breakfast then will have our breakfast in the hotel and if not we will have our breakfast on the way. We will enjoy shortstops for lunch and scenic beauty all the way around. 8 to 9 hours drive from Kathmandu valley, we will reach Gorkha and we will check out the hotel and explore all around the valley and back to the hotel and spend overnight.

Day 03: Trekking to Baluwa

The main attraction of this village is lifestyle, culture, traditions, rituals, and hospitality of the local people. We will pass through rice fields, many bananas trees, and several small villages to reach Baluwa. We can observe the beautiful landscapes, streams, and following the river edge of Darundi Khola.

Day 04: Trekking to Barpak

The trail follows the riverbank of Darundi Khola passing the beautiful paddy field to the right side of the river. We will walk on the steep trail and further go through a dense forest. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Barpak where we will spend one night.

Day 05: Trekking to Rupina-La Base Camp

The trek will descend down to the river and cross it and move towards Rupina-La Base Camp. The trails play hide and seek on the dense forests area which is zigzag also. The trekking route becomes all the more interesting as we get closer to our destinations.

Day 06: Trekking to Kharka

A peaceful night in Rupina-La Base Camp and we will slowly walk towards Kharka. The trail guarantees excellent views of the beautiful landscapes and the mighty mountain. After 7 to 8 hours to reach Kharka from Rupina-La Base Camp where we will spend one night.

Day 07: Trekking to Buddha Himal Glacier Camp

The terrace of the village and hit forest, ferns and woodland we will leave behind. We will also pass through several small villages and a few temples on the way before reach in Buddha Himal Glacier Camp where we will spend one night.

Day 08: Trekking to Nyak

The trail climbs pass through in and fir forest and then follows the river for a time amongst the higher oak and maple tree. On the way, we have an opportunity to explore monastery and have some lunch and move towards Nyak where we will spend one night.

Day 09: Trekking to Lokpa

The trail will be tiring as it goes through the stone and dirt path and takes you down to the mountainsides. On the route, we will have an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain and beautiful landscapes. We will have our lunch on the way then we will move towards Lokpa and spend one night.

Day 10: Trekking to Chumling

From Lokpa, we will slowly move towards Chumling. Climb over a rocky ridge to Salleri, and then descends to Setibas. The trail then goes ups and downs through forest and high cliffs, and then we reach to Chumling where we will spend one night in this beautiful region.

Day 11: Trekking to Chhokang Paro (5-6hrs)

The trail climbs along the Mule through in and fir forest and then follows the river for a time amongst the higher oak and maple tree. On the way, we have an opportunity to explore monastery and have some lunch and move towards Chokhang Paro where we will spend one night.

Day 12: Trekking to Nile (4-5hrs)

While doing this day trek, we will have an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain, beautiful villages. We will cross many suspension bridges before reaching Nile where we will spend one night in this wonderful land.

Day 13: Trekking back to Chhokang Paro (6-7hrs)

Morning walk leads on the gradual winding trail through forest and farmlands. We will wake up early in the morning and trek along the west bank of the river and you will ascend to the huge Mu Gompa with the beautiful views of Chortens and Tibetans mountains.

Day 14: Trekking to Gumba Lungdang (5-6hrs)

Today on a trail to an even higher elevation and the main attractions is monastery situated at the highest altitude in the world. We will have a wonderful view of the mountain beautiful landscape of this route and spend one night.

Day 15: Rest day Gumba Lungdang (7-8hrs)

This day is for the rest day that’s why we don’t start our trekking. Early in the morning after wake up, we will have our breakfast then after we will explore all around Gumba Lungdang. At this day, we will explore villages and get an opportunity to spend some time in the lands which feel better and mental makeup for further trekking or journey.

Day 16: Trekking to Lokpa (7-8hrs)

Our trail descends and passes through the lush forest of birch. On the route, we will have an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain, and beautiful landscape. We will cross many suspension bridges before reaching Lokpa where we will spend one night.

Day 17: Trekking to Jagat (7-8hrs)

The terrace of the village and hit forest, ferns and woodland we will leave behind. We will also pass through several small villages and a few temples on the way before reach in Jagat where we will spend one night.

Day 18: Trekking to Machha Khola

This is the first-day walking trekking in Manaslu Circuit trek where we will walk to Sotikhola to Maccha Khola. We walk along rounded stone before climbing over a side ridge. On the route, we will have our lunch and slowly move towards Maccha Khola where we will spend one night.

Day 19: Trekking to Sotikhola

Today is the last day walking trekking in Manaslu Rupina La Pass trek where we will walk from Machha Khola to Sotikhola. The trail leads upwards through terraces lands with rice fields that seem impossible green. It is an enjoyable day in preparation for our further destinations to come.

Day 20: Drive to Kathmandu

We will back to Kathmandu valley from the same route where we move towards Syange valley. At the time of this drive, we will have our lunch on the way and slowly drive to Kathmandu valley. After reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, we will check out the hotel and spend some time around the Thamel Bazaar and spend one night in this wonderful valley.

Day 21: Final Departure
