Pike Peak Trek is an ideal choice for those who want to trek in a less crowded place in the Everest region. The trek begins from Jiri after a 6-hour drive from the Kathmandu Valley. It is one of the most revered and adventurous activities to do and one of the greatest opportunities to truly experience the country’s many attributes in their finest form. We will be warmly welcomed by the local Sherpa people who are the local people in this route. During the time of the trekking, we will have wonderful views of the mountains which includes Mt Everest, Mt Ama Dablam, Lhotse, among others. This trekking is suitable for those travelers who don’t have enough time in Nepal, but still want to explore the Himalayan part of the country. Most of the people of this area are influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. The best time of year for trekking is from February to June and from September to December.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

When you land at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu there will be a representative from our company to meet you. You will directly drive to the hotel to check in. At night you will meet your guide, hear additional information about the trip, and have dinner.

Day 02: Drive to Jiri (1350m) 9 hours

Very early in the morning, we will drive towards Jiri from the Kathmandu Valley. On the way, we will have our lunch and drive towards Jiri. We will have wonderful views of the mountains and beautiful landscapes.

Day 03: Trek to Shivalaya (1770m) 4 hours

This is the first day of walking along trails where there are many Buddhist Chortens and Mani Walls. We will have a wonderful views, and we will also pass through beautiful villages.

Day 04: Trek to Bhandar (2190m) 3 hours

On the second day of walking, we will walk from Shivalaya to Bhandar. We will pass through lush forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine. On the route, we will have an opportunity to see  wonderful views of the mountain and also see beautiful natural scenery.

Day 05: Trek to Namkhile (2320m) 4 – 5 hours

The vegetation is sparser, allowing us magical views of mountains and beautiful landscapes. We will have our lunch on the way and then after taking some rest we will move towards Namkhile where we will spend one night.

Day 06: Trek to Golla (2980m) 3 hours

Early in the morning after having breakfast, we will move towards Golla. We will have wonderful views of the mountains, a beautiful village, and many suspension bridges before reaching Golla where we will spend one night.

Day 07: Trek to Nagur (3350m) 4 hours

While doing this day trek, we will have an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain and beautiful villages. We will cross many suspension bridges before reaching Nagur where we will spend one night.

Day 08: Trek to Chamdingma (3510m)

This day’s trekking trail goes slightly uphill to Chamdingma. We will have an opportunity to explore the beautiful valley along the route. We will have our lunch on the way and then some rest, we will slowly head toward Chamdingma where we will spend one night.

Day 09: Hike to the top of Pikey (4065m) 5 hours

Today, we will hike to the top of Pikey from where we will have a wonderful view of the mountains and also have an opportunity to see the beautiful landscapes of this wonderful route.

Day 10: Trek to Junbesi (2670m) 6hours

We will leave behind the terrace of the village and forest, ferns, and woodlands. We will pass through several small villages and a few temples on the way before reaching Junbesi where we will spend one night.

Day 11: Trek to Shengeephuk 5 hours

The trail from the Junbesi descends until it reaches the river and then continues through the lush forest. We will spend one night in Shengeephuk.

Day 12: Trek to Sansare Danda

The trails follow a steep and narrow river  winding through deep woodland. Continuing our walking on this route, we will come to a long Mani wall by a bridge and the lower village of Sansare Danda where we will spend one night.

Day 13: Trek to Beni

Leaving Sansare Danda, the trail climbs a steep ridge that affords good views of the Beni Valley. The trail guarantees excellent views of the beautiful landscapes and the mighty mountains. We will surely spend a peaceful night.

Day 14: Trek to Dudh Kunda (4561m) 3 hours

Today after having breakfast we will start our trekking. We will have an opportunity to see wonderful views of the mountains and beautiful villages before reaching Dudh Kunda where we will spend one night.

Day 15: Trek to Taksinda La 5-6 hours

On this day trekking, wonderful views of the mountain and landscape will continue. We will have our lunch on the way, and then after taking some rest and we weill move towards Taksinda where we will spend one night.

Day 16: Trek to Phaplu 3 – 4 hours

This is the last day of trekking in the Everest region where we will walk from Taksinda to Phaplu. The trail passes through pine, oak, and rhododendron forests. We will also pass through many suspension bridges before reaching Phaplu where we will spend one night.

Day 17: Fly to Kathmandu

In the morning, if the hotel is able to make breakfast then we will have our breakfast and then head to the local airport of Phaplu to fly to the Kathmandu Valley. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will check into the hotel, spend some time around the Thamel Bazaar, and spend one night in this wonderful valley.

Day 18: Final departure   

We will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport with the hope that you have had a wonderful time in our small country. We will also be hoping that this will not the last chance to serve you.
