Beautiful Ghale Gaun Homestay Short Trekking

Ghale Gaun Trek is newly opened trekking trail in the Annapurna region which offers superb views of the mountains. It is the cultural Gurung village nestled on the lap of the Annapurna trekking area range which is a popular short trekking route that takes you to a typical Nepali village. The locals have performed their cultural dances by using their handmade traditional instruments wearing the cultural unique dress. The most significant attractions of the region are an exciting rural community, and the friendly and affectionate people. This trekking route lies in the north part of beautiful Pokhara which is a popular trekking destination in Nepal. Trekking this route leads to one of the world’s most wonderful destinations, perfect for the nature lover. It proves to be a popular tourist destination that provides magnificent snow-capped mountains, sweeping glaciers, and a natural paradise with a wide variety of people from many different ethnic groups. This route is newly opened trekking destinations in the Annapurna region where we get an opportunity to know about the culture and traditions of the Gurung people.

The trek offers one of the most majestic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and many other mountains of this route. We have to a chance to enter the Annapurna Conservation Area which is well known as the home of many rare animals, birds, and flora. For trekking, the best time is March to May and September to November.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 02: Drive to Khudi

Day 03: Trek Khudi to Ghalegaun

Day 04: Rest day in Ghalegaun village

Day 05: Trek to Baglungpani

Day 06: Trek to Laxmi Bazar

Day 07:  Trek to Begnas Lake-Pokhara

Day 08: Drive to Kathmandu

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 

When you land in the international airport in Kathmandu.  there will be a representative from our company to pick you up. You will be taken directly to your hotel to check in. At night you will meet your guide and review your  trip and have dinner.      

Day 02: Drive to Khudi

If the hotel is able to prepare breakfast then will have our breakfast in the hotel and if not we will have our breakfast on the way. We will have a scenic ride on the Prithvi highway where we will enjoy short stops for lunch and scenic viewing areas. An 8-hour drive from Kathmandu Valley, we will reach Khudi, check in at the hotel, explore all around the valley and then head back to the hotel to spend overnight.

Day 03: Trek Khudi to Ghalegaun

This wonderful day we will descend towards Ghale Gaun. We will enjoy the hospitality of the host family that belong to the Gurungs. We will have our lunch on the way and then slowly move towards Ghale Gaun where we will spend one night.

Day 04: Rest day in Ghalegaun village

The whole day we will explore all around the wonderful Ghalegaun village. This village is one of the most beautiful villages in the Annapurna region. We will have an opportunity to learn about the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of the Gurung people.

Day 05: Trek to Baglungpani

We will pass through the beautiful villages, landscapes, and the wonderful views of the mountain views, before reaching Baglungpani.  We will cross many suspension bridges and spend one night.

Day 06: Trek to Laxmi Bazaar 

After leaving Baglungpani, we will slowly move towards Laxmi Bazaar. We will have many opportunities to see the wonderful scenery, mountain views and beautiful landscapes of this route. We will have our lunch on the way and then after, slowly move towards Laxmi Bazaar where we will spend one night.

Day 07: Drive to Pokhara

Today is the last day of walking on this wonderful journey where we will trek from Laxmi Bazaar to Beganas Lake. We will have our lunch on Beganas Lake and from the Beganas Lake, we will drive towards Pokhara city where we will spend one night.

Day 08: Drive to Kathmandu

We will head back to the Kathmandu Valley and have our lunch on the way. After reaching the Kathmandu Valley, we will check in at the hotel, spend some time around the Thamel Bazaar, and thenspend one night.

Day 09: Final departure        

We will take you to Tribhuvan International Airport with the hope that you have had a wonderful day in our small country. We hope that this will not be the last chance to serve you.
