Everest Gokyo Lake Trek

Everest Gokyo Lake Trek is one of the finest trekking destinations in the Everest region.  We will explore Gokyo Lake, one of the largest lakes in this region, located in the eastern part of the remote Himalayas of Nepal. Pictures of the azure lake is usually the only motivation necessary for anyone to trek to this isolated place. The trek, the traditional trekking route to Everest Base Camp, offers magnificent views of the mountains, beautiful landscapes, and as well as the largest glacier of Nepal. It offers a festival of beautiful turquoise lakes, moonscape-like glaciers, and stunning mountain views. We will see the sights Gokyo Valley, including a collection of stone houses and meadows on the shore of this great lake. The scenery is simply breathtaking within this paradise of glistening peaks, stunning glaciers around, ancient, and ornate monasteries. This region is the most renowned of all the trekking routes  around the globe.

Thonak is the largest among six other lakes and is also the hub onto which each trail converges, so yaks and people compete for space in this amphitheatre-style area. While trekking in this route, we will be warmly welcomed by the local Sherpa people. We will have an opportunity to learn about the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of the Sherpa people from decades ago to now. Most of the area of this route is not well developed, but the natural beauty of this land makes your journey all the more enjoyable and unforgettable. During the time of the trekking, we will have wonderful views of the mountains which include Mt Everest, Mt Ama Dablam, and Lhotse. We will have a chance to Enter Sagarmatha National Park which is the home of many rare birds, animals, and local flora. On the way, we will have a great chance to see the largest monastery in the Khumbu region. The best season for trekking is from February to April and from September to December.
