Everest Cho la Pass Trek

Everest Cho la Pass Trek is a combination of everything that the Everest region of Nepal can ever offer which gives you the grand trekking of the famous Khumbu region. It is the combinations of the two treks Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lake trek.  The trek is renowned trek as well as one of the most servers in the Himalaya Mountains and Sherpa country. This particular trek gives you eyeful views of the mountain vistas and glaciers and follows the rather praised trekking direction through the Dudh Koshi. We will pass through the charming villages with wonderful cultural possessions while enjoying the unparalleled views of the mountains in the heart and background of well-known Everest region. This trek offers us the opportunity to be in mesmerizing Gokyo Valley at the edge of serene Gokyo Lakes. The trip will offer a chance to witness the land of the Sherpa and visit stately Buddhist monasteries. The serenity along with the wilderness in quaint mountains and you will never find your mind in such a feeling of peace. Trekking in this route is one of the most popular activities among the people who visit Nepal for a holiday. Everest Cho la Pass Trek is one of the challenging trekking destinations in the Everest region. Trekking in this region is an amazing experience not only for its proximity to the world’s highest mountain but also for its friendly Sherpa people. We will have an opportunity to know about the culture, tradition, and lifestyle of the Sherpa people who is the local inhabitant of this route. The scenery is simply breathtaking with the paradise of glistening peaks, stunning glacier around, ancient and ornate monasteries. This region is the most renowned of all the trekking routes all around the globe. The trek begins from Lukla valley after 30 minutes mountain flight from Kathmandu valley. It is an adventurous trekking route in Khumbu which is known as the home of Sherpa people. We will have an opportunity to see the wonderful mountain views of the mountain which includes Mt Everest, Mt Lhotse, Mt Makalu, Mt Cho Oyu and many other mountains of this wonderful route.  Most of the area of this route is not so well developed but the natural beauty of this land makes your journey more enjoyable and unforgettable and the warm welcome by the Sherpa people which makes more memorable. For the trekking, the perfect time also needed and the perfect season for trekking February to April and September to December.

Day 03: Trekking to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 5-6 hours

Day 04: Rest day in Namche Bazaar

Day 05: Trekking to Tengboche (3867m) 5 hours

Day 06: Trekking to Dingboche (4360m) 5-6 hours

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu 

When you will land in the international airport in Kathmandu.  there will be one person from our company to pick you up. You will be taken directly to your hotel to check in. At night you will meet your guide and review your  trip and have dinner.      

Day 02: Fly to Lukla and heading to Phakding (2652m) 3 hrs 

Having breakfast in the hotel, we will slowly drive towards the airport to a scenic fly towards Lukla which is also known as the gateway of the Everest region. From Lukla, we will start our trekking on foot. We will slowly walk towards Phakding where we will spend one night.

Day 03: Trekking to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 5-6 hours

The trail follows ascending through Himalayan pine and cedar forests. We will have an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain which is one of the highest mountains in the world Mt Everest. On the route, we will have our lunch and slowly move towards Namche Bazaar where we will spend one night.

Day 04: Rest day in Namche Bazaar

This day is for the rest day that’s why we don’t start our trekking. Early in the morning after wake up, we will have our breakfast then after we will explore all around the Namche Bazaar. At this day, we will explore villages and get an opportunity to spend some time in the monastery which feels better and mental makeup for further trekking or journey.

Day 05: Trekking to Tengboche (3867m) 5 hours

Today on a trail to an even higher elevation and the main attractions is monastery situated at the highest altitude in the world. We will have a wonderful view of the mountain beautiful landscape of this route and spend one night.

Day 06: Trekking to Dingboche (4360m) 5-6 hours

Our trail descends and passes through the lush forest of birch. On the route, we will have an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain, and beautiful landscape. We will cross many suspension bridges before reaching Dingboche where we will spend one night.

Day 07: Rest day in Dingboche

This day is for the rest day that’s why we don’t start our trekking. Early in the morning after wake up, we will have our breakfast then after we will explore all around the Dingboche. At this day, we will explore villages and get an opportunity to spend some time in the monastery which feels better and mental makeup for further trekking or journey.

Day 08: Trekking to Lobuche (4940m) 5 hours

The trail passes through the spectacular views of the mountain, the lush forest of rhododendron. The land becomes drier and vegetations spare as you travel to Lobuche where we will spend one night.

Day 09: Trekking to Gorakshep (5170m) 7-8 hrs

There is also a lot of meandering on rough terrains and this is the last settlement along the route. We can enjoy the wonderful views of the mountain, beautiful landscapes. We will cross many suspension bridges before reaching Gorak Shep where we will spend one night.

Day 10: Trekking Kala Patthar (5545m) and back to Lobuche (4940m) 5-6 hours

In the early morning, we will start our trekking towards Kala Patthar. Today we will cross Kala Patthar. After crossing the Kala Patthar, we will back down to Lobuche. On the way, we will have a wonderful view of the mountain and beautiful landscape. It takes almost 5 to 6 hours to reach Lobuche where we will spend overnight.

Day 11: Trekking to Dzongla (4830m) 2-3 hours

The vegetation is sparser, allowing magical views of the mountain and beautiful landscapes. We will have our lunch on the way then after taking some rest and slowly move towards Dzongla where we will spend one night in this beautiful land.

Day 12: Crossing Chola Pass to Thangnak 7-8 hours

We will start the trekking early in the morning because we have to cross Cholo pass today. We begin the day by climbing the Chola pass and also descending once more to Thangnak. And this day trek you will able to experience the best part of the hiking.

Day 13: Trekking to Gokyo Lake 4 hours

While doing this day trek, we will have an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain, beautiful villages. We will cross many suspension bridges before reaching Gokyo Lake where we will spend one night in this wonderful land.

Day 14: Trekking down to Dole (4090m) 5-6 hours

This will be one of the most difficulties yet rewarding days of the trek and the ascent is demanding but the climber gets the magnificent mountain views. We will walk on a fairly steep trail at a comfortable pace. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Dole where we will spend one night.

Day 15: Trekking to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 6-7 hours

This day trekking trail slightly goes uphill to Namche Bazaar. We will have an opportunity to explore the beautiful valley of the route. We will pass through the lush forest, beautiful valley, and get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain.

Day 16: Trekking to Lukla (2850m) 7 hours

This is the last-day trekking in the Everest region where we will walk from Namche Bazaar to Lukla. The trail passes through pine, oak, and rhododendron forest. We will also pass through many suspension bridges before reaching Lukla where we will spend one night.

Day 17: Flight to Kathmandu

In the morning, if the hotel is able to make breakfast then we will have our breakfast and slowly move towards the local airport of Lukla to fly towards Kathmandu valley. Upon reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, we will check out the hotel and spend some time around the Thamel Bazaar and spend one night in this wonderful valley.

Day 18: Final departure
