Chulu East Peak Climbing

Chulu East Peak Climbing is one of the most gorgeous peaks in the whole which is located in the Annapurna region. It is also well suited for an expeditionary style ascent with group members playing an active role in establishing the intermediary camps while preparing for the summit. This is the mutual combination of trekking trail around the Annapurna massif mounting the Marshyangdi valley and passing the Thorong La. You should fit and have good experience of climbing. The climber must be familiar with the use of climbing equipment like Crampons, ice ax, climbing ropes, and tying knots. The climb to this peak climbing is a strenuous climb therefore previous experience in climbing is required. The actually climbing involves glacial crossing, snow walking, and climbing steep scree slopes. It usually understood that with the permit to climb this peak an attempt can be made to the nearby peak as well. Most of the climbing involved will be walking roped together, including the glacial crossing. This trip and climb in difficult to match for its spectacular mountain scenery, trekking and mountaineering challenges. Chulu East Peak Climbing is one of the challenging peaks climbing in the Annapurna region. The view from the summit is simply breathtaking. The trail leads slowly to the Manang valley which is one of the highest valleys in the world. The trek is the perfect one for you which offers easy walk on the first day of the trek. This climbing will lead to a most remote valley and witness Gurung culture and walk through sub-tropical pine and red blooming rhododendron forest and abundant wildlife. For climbing the peak you do not have previous experiences however the climbing teams need to be prepared mentally as well as physically for the adventurous climbing. The trek offers one of the majestic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and many other mountains of this route. You also need to be perfect physical conditions to venture on this trek. For the trekking, the perfect time also needed and the perfect season for trekking March to May and September to November.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

When you will land in the international airport in Kathmandu then there will one person from our company to take-off you. You will directly drive towards the hotel to check out. At night you will meet your guide and counsel about the trip. And have our dinner.      

Day 02: Drive to Chame (2,710m) 9 – 10 hrs

The very next morning, if the hotel is able to prepare breakfast then will have our breakfast in the hotel and if not we will have our breakfast on the way. We will have a scenic Prithvi highway where we will enjoy shortstops for lunch and scenic beauty all the way around. 9 to 10 hours drive from Kathmandu valley, we will reach Chame and we will check out the hotel and back to the hotel and spend overnight.

Day 03: Trekking to Pisang (3,300m) 5 – 6 hrs

The trails follow a steep and narrow river village winding through deep woodland. Continuing walking on this route, you come to a long Mani wall by a bridge and the lower village of Pisang.

Day 04: Trekking to Humde Village (3,330m) 3 – 4 hrs

Today we will walk through the beautiful pine and rhododendron forest. We will trek to the splendid Humde village. You will notice the surrounding changing as natural trees and plants becomes scarcer as the terrain begins to shift to a drier more desert-like environment.

Day 05: Trekking to Julu Khola (3,500m) 3 – 4 hrs

We will climb downhill and then walking upstream all along the Marshyangadi River reaches Julu Khola. We will have an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain and beautiful landscapes. We will cross many suspension bridges before reaching Julu Khola where we will spend one night in this wonderful land.

Day 06: Rest Day at Julu Khola

This day is for the rest day that’s why we don’t start our trekking. Early in the morning after wake up, we will have our breakfast then after we will explore all around Julu Khola. At this day, we will explore villages and get an opportunity to spend some time in the monastery which feels better and mental makeup for further trekking or journey.

Day 07: Trekking to Chulu Far East Base Camp (5,000m) 5 – 6 hrs

It will be very interesting as we will have gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. We will begin our hike for the day with a walk through vertical grazing land to a vacant set where the pasture fuses with the rock.

Day 08: Rest Day at Chulu Far East Base Camp

This day is for the rest day that’s why we don’t start our trekking. Early in the morning after wake up, we will have our breakfast then after we will explore all around Chulu Far East Base Camp. At this day, we will explore villages and get an opportunity to spend some time in the monastery which feels better and mental makeup for further trekking or journey.

Day 09: Trekking to Chulu Far East High Camp (5,500m) 3 – 4 hrs

We will gradually ascend to Chulu Far East High Camp and the trail continues on the trail ahead. We will have an opportunity to see the wonderful views of the mountain and beautiful landscapes. We will have our lunch on the way then after slowly move towards Chulu Far East High Camp where we will spend one night.

Day 10: Trekking back to Chulu Far East Peak (6,059m) to Base Camp 8 – 9 Hrs

Early in the morning, we will start our trekking because today we will summit Chulu Far East Peak. The steep ascends trail crossing paths that require technical guidelines and climb the High Climb. After completing to summiting the Chulu Far East Peak, we will back to Base Camp where we will spend one night.

Day 11: Trekking to Manang (3,35m) 5 – 6 hrs

Leaving Pisang base camp, the trail climbs the steep ridge that affords good views of the Manang valley. The trail guarantees excellent views of the beautiful landscapes and the mighty mountain. This is the largest district.

Day 12: Trekking to Siri Kharka (4,060m) 4 – 5 hrs

We will cross the rivers and continue walking on the south side of the river through coniferous forests toward Khangsar village. The trail passes through the several small villages and wonderful views of the mountain. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly move towards Siri Kharka where we will spend one night.

Day 13: Trekking to Tilicho Base Camp (4,140m) 5 – 6 hrs

From here, we will have a wonderful view of Lake Tilicho Lake which is situated in the highest altitude. We will have our lunch on the way and move towards Base Camp where we will spend one night.

Day 14: Visit to Tilicho Lake (4,949m)

This day is for the rest day that’s why we don’t start our trekking. Early in the morning after wake up, we will have our breakfast then after we will explore all around the Tilicho Lake.

Day 15: Trekking to Yak Kharka (4,200m) 7 – 8 hrs

From Tilicho base camp, the trail follows to the trail towards Yak Kharka where we have to crosses a stream, climbs the village of Tenki and continue to climb out of the Marshyangdhi valley turning northwest up the valley of Jarsang Khola.

Day 16: Trekking to Jomsom (2,743m) 7 – 8 hrs

From here, we will trek on the windy trail of Kali Gandaki valley. After walking 7 to 8 hours from Yak Kharka we will finally reach Jomsom. Before reaching Jomsom, we will have an opportunity to see caves, meadows, and also reach Kagbeni which is one of the best places in this trekking.

Day 17: Fly to Pokhara

After having breakfast, we will drive towards the local airport of Jomsom to take a flight towards Pokhara valley which is also known as the home or the city of the lakes. After reach in Pokhara, we will explore all around the valley and spend one night in this beautiful valley.

Day 18: Drive to Kathmandu

We will back to Kathmandu valley from the same route where we move towards Pokhara valley. At the time of this drive, we will have our lunch on the way and slowly drive to Kathmandu valley. After reach in Kathmandu valley, first of all, we will check out the hotel and spend some time around the Thamel Bazaar and spend one night in this wonderful valley.

Day 19: Final Departure
